ROUND LAKE, GRAYSLAKE & WAUKEGAN, IL – Dr. Michael Stosich is a participating member in the DentaQuest Medicaid braces public aid program in Illinois called “Braces With the Medical Card.” He has orthodontic offices in Grayslake and Wilmette – Kenilworth and also serves patients from Round Lake area. He works with children up to the age of 18 who qualify for what is also known as a All Kids Medical Card Braces Program. This allows families to pay no money to little money out-of-pocket when enrolled in Braces Medicaid for orthodontics.

An underbite is when the lower jaw and teeth protrude out and over the upper teeth. It is not as common as an overbite but currently 1 in 10 Americans has an underbite. This condition can affect anyone of any ethnicity, although it is more commonly seen in Asian ethnicities; however, anyone is prone to this condition, and Dr. Michael Stosich with Stosich Consulting says that underbites are typically hereditary.

How old is Too Old for Braces?

Ideally, dental braces should be applied at an early age, between 7 and 14 years old. The logic behind this is that while it is true that most adult’s bones stop growing after the age of 21, according to an article in the Harvard Health Publications, The American Association of Orthodontists notes that one in five orthodontic patients is over the age of 18.

Gurnee Affordable Braces Provider Speaks on SureSmile GRAYSLAKE, Round Lake AND GURNEE, ILLINOIS – Our very own Dr. Michael Stosich had the pleasure of speaking at the first SureSmile Doctor Symposium in Dallas Feb. 21-23.

This inaugural event held at the Ritz-Carlton hotel was the result of requests by experienced SureSmile doctors. It served as a networking and learning event emphasizing peer-to-peer learning through expert case presentations and moderated small group discussion. Approximately 120 orthodontists from throughout the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia attended.
